SERIES 1 — A NEW BEGINNING
Every adventure has a beginning.
Before Adventure Universe becomes a growing network of friends, skills, and service, it begins with young people discovering how quickly ordinary life can open into something larger. Around Annapolis and the Chesapeake, new friendships form, young dogs learn alongside their people, and everyday experiences begin creating opportunities for responsibility, discovery, and helping others.
THE SERIES STORY.
Series 1 begins before the team is really a team. School, family, friendships, dog training, and life around Annapolis and the Chesapeake form the ordinary world in which JJ, Janet, KC, and Teddy begin learning about one another—and about what they themselves are capable of.
As friendships deepen and responsibilities grow, everyday experiences begin opening doors to larger adventures. Curiosity leads to new knowledge, knowledge builds capability, and capability creates opportunities to help. A New Beginning establishes the pattern that will continue throughout Adventure Universe: people learning from one another, discovering useful skills, and finding that what they know can make a difference.

The adventure begins in everyday life—school, family, friendships and changing relationships—as JJ and Janet discover that growing up also means learning when and how to take responsibility.
DOGS, TRAINING & PARTNERSHIP
KC and Teddy are part of the story from the beginning. Training, trust and learning to work with the dogs become part of the characters’ own growth and eventually open doors to larger possibilities.
SKILLS THAT BECOME USEFUL
First aid, communication, radio operations, search-and-rescue awareness and practical preparation emerge from experiences rather than classroom assignments. The characters learn because something gives them a reason to want to know. Series 1 specifically develops pathways from rescue experience into dog training, Hug-A-Tree, SAR participation, radio work and community education.
NEW PLACES, CAREERS & WAYS TO HELP
Annapolis and the Chesapeake become part of a widening world of places, institutions, careers and people with specialized knowledge. What begins as curiosity gradually becomes an understanding that useful knowledge can be shared, organized and put to work for others. Along the way, the story opens doors to careers, institutions, history, science, culture and service—each becoming another part of that widening world.

The same complete Series 1 story is planned as an immersive multi-voice audio experience, bringing the characters and their conversations to life while preserving the full story contained in the readable edition.

Individual Books — Readable Edition
Prefer to take the adventure one book at a time? A New Beginning is also divided into nine individual books, allowing readers to follow the Series 1 story in shorter installments while preserving the same continuing characters and overall journey.

Individual Books — Audio Edition
Individual audio editions are planned to let listeners experience the same Series 1 story one book at a time. Book 1 is the approved first multi-voice audio pilot, with later audio editions intended to follow as production advances.
